The Rules.

1. If you have an issue with xsf policy, a thread or a member; PM a Site Admin. <--link
2. Threads WILL NOT be locked due to reasons not in this rules thread.. So don't ask.
3. Threats or Repetitive Malicious Attacks of any kind against other members WILL NOT be tolerated.
4. Posts containing questionable illegal material that could put the site at risk WILL be deleted on sight and you stand a good chance of being banned.
5. Spam WILL be deleted on sight and WILL result in a ban. This includes all unwanted solicitation.
6. DO NOT create threads to bash XS or XS staff.

The rules above apply, but we have a bunch of "ribbing" or "bazinga's" here at XSF..

Here's some wisdom from me as an original forum/site installer and member here at XSF (this goes back to XS when SF was closed down to current times). Jan 09.

The way I see it is we all like to voice our opinion here, and tbh that's what this site is designed for, so use it. Neil (Riptide) is the owner and admin now, he has the ultimate say so on what goes and what doesn't, as any owner of a resource does. So when he asks you or me or anyone to stfu, then we should listen. Riptide is the Captain of this boat: no questions asked. DO NOT disrespect him if he asks: no back lip, no nothing, just DO IT! It's his resource and he can shut you or the site down with one click. Riptide is the Captain, and this site is his boat.
That being said, zing each other and enjoy the freedom of environment that was taken from you at XS in the SF section. You have an incredible freedom here in a forum that is free for you to participate in, and Neil is footing the bill for it. If you have personal issues you can't handle, try to work it out in PM, or tell Neil about it. If it's something he cannot do anything about, then it's up to you to get over it. BUT DO NOT make it an ongoing issue in the forum, if you do, you'll be asking for it. When it comes, do not act like you didn't expect it; because it won't matter at that point.

SO debate and talk away to your hearts content on pretty much any subject that wont get the site in trouble or create personal wars that snow over threads.

Do remember to debate and talk about relevant subjects and points at hand, instead of nipping at each other. No one gains knowledge or insight from back biting, but we can gain much knowledge and insight from examining each others views. When everyone weighs in on a subject we all gain insight, but when the discussion turns to personal back biting it is not productive. We all lose when that happens, not only the parties involved, but also the uninvolved ones that have to wade through the endless posts of vendettas. It is a destructive site phenomenon. DON'T DO IT.

I really like most of yall, and hope this site remains active. Some of the discussions we have are very thought stimulating, and even inspired me do research I would have otherwise not done. I appreciate all your efforts here at xsf. This is a site that would have been dead when XS killed it if not for Charlie, and now Riptide. SO please give your thanks and appreciation where they are deserved. It is our responsibility to keep XSF alive.
