From the Interwebz: A Romanian birthday tradition is you take a bite out of your cake and then they smash it in your face.

Traditional Romanian Birthday song?

Multi Ani Traiasca, Multi Ani Traiasca,
La Multi Ani;
Multi Ani Traiasca, Multi Ani Traiasca,
La Multi Ani.
Cine Sa Traiasca, Cine Sa Traiasca,
La Multi Ani;
Cine Sa Traiasca, Cine Sa Traiasca,
La Multi Ani.
Lisa Sa Traiasca, Lisa Sa Traiasca,
La Multi Ani;
Lisa Sa Traiasca, Lisa Sa Traiasca,
La Multi Ani.
Totdeauna, Totdeauna,
Sa bem vinul ca si-a cuma;
Totdeauna, Totdeauna,
Sa bem vinul ca si-a cuma.
Cit-un Pic Pic Pic,
Cit-un Pic Pic Pic,
Pina n-o mai raminea nimic.
Cit-un Strop Strop Strop,
Cit-un Strop Strop Strop,
Pina n-o mai raminea de loc.

Thanks, I guess. :mrgreen:

I can't understand one letter of russian, there's no such tradition here, the birthday song is correct right until the "Totdeauna". We don't sing that. I'm not a gypsy, thank you very much.
And I can't really say that I partied hard, because I had to study for an exam, but I did go out with friends, talk, etc.
Came here earlier yesterday to see if RIPTIDE called me a gypsy yet, but I realized I didn't put my birthday in my profile. So I updated it so you could have your fun. :P

I am sending you a bottle of gypsy tears for your birthday, gallardo. And a new ghillie suit for when the reactivated KGB sleepers come!

Happy birthday. :boozer:

Just saw the youtube vid. Those people are called "manelisti" over here. All their music sounds like that and they insist on playing it as loud as possible in their homes, in the street or in public transportation on their cell phones. They're what you might call gypsies. Imagine if half the population of the US would listen to lil' John, 30% to redneck folk music and the rest to normal music. That's pretty much how Romania is divided, except the gypsy music sounds a lot like our folk music (they're both terrible).

Let me show you what I mean:

Gypsy music:

Folk music:

Club music:

Normal music:

I didn't care for the first two, but the last two were ok.... at least they had pretty girls.
